PUBLIC HEALTH EMERGENCY PREPAREDNESS

The Putnam County Health Coordinator’s position has been created to prepare the county to handle emergency incidents that affect public health.  These efforts will be coordinated with national, state and local agencies, and will include communication of alerts, advisories and warnings with the public.

FOOD PROTECTION

Putnam County has a local ordinance concerning food service along with the Indiana Administrative Code that is used by the Health Departments across the state to regulate retail food establishments.  These documents may be viewed by clicking on the links below.

COMPLAINT INVESTIGATION

The Putnam County Health Department investigates complaints regarding illegal  dumping, open burning, and homes that are unfit for human habitation. You may print the complaint for below and send it in to our office if you would like to file a complaint. All of the complainants information is confidential unless and until a subpoena is issued by a judge.
